VOLLEYBALL Program — What to Expect
Starting at age 7, our VOLLEYBALL Program provides beginner, intermediate, and advanced training in passing, hitting, serving, rotation, and rules of the game. Kids are grouped by experience level with a 1:6 coach-to-participant ratio.
During registration, you'll select your child's experience level — either First Timer/Beginner or Intermediate/Advanced. Each option includes a brief description of what the program covers, so you can confidently choose the right fit for your child's current skills.

Safety
- Coach ratios: 1:6 both on the beach and in the water (not including CITs or Directors)
- Certified staff: All coaches are CPR and First Aid certified and background checked.
- Lifeguard proximity: All locations are set up next to a staffed LA County Lifeguard station. Coaches and Lifeguards communicate daily about ocean conditions, and coaches always defer to Lifeguards on safety matters.
- Rashguards: Every participant receives a brightly colored SPF rashguard so they're easily identified by coaches and Lifeguards on the beach and in the water.
- Sunscreen: Reapplication breaks are scheduled multiple times throughout the day. Shade tents are provided on the beach for kids to take a break from sun exposure.
