Allergies and Dietary Needs

We take food allergies and dietary needs seriously. During registration, you'll have the opportunity to provide detailed information about any food allergies or medical conditions our staff should be aware of. These notes appear on the coaches' roster when your child checks in each day.

If you'd like to share additional details with the coaching staff, you can do so during check-in on the first day or by contacting our office anytime.

Severe or life-threatening allergies

All food provided by our catering partner is prepared and sourced off-site. While we make every effort to ensure safety, we cannot guarantee that snacks or lunches will be free from allergens. If your child has a severe or life-threatening food allergy, we require that families send food from home for the entire week.

EpiPen policy

If your child will be bringing an EpiPen to the program:

  1. Note it during registration so it's on your child's record.
  2. Inform the coach at drop-off on the first day.
  3. If you'd like the coach to hold onto the EpiPen during the program, you'll need to sign our EpiPen release form. BeachSports and our coaches are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged EpiPens.

Important: Our coaches are not legally permitted or professionally trained to administer an EpiPen. However, Head Coaches receive informal training before each season and can assist your child in self-administering their EpiPen. In the event an EpiPen is needed, the participant will also be brought to the on-duty LA County Lifeguard for additional assistance.

If you have any questions or concerns about managing your child's allergies during the program, contact us at team@beachsports.com.
