Weather Cancellations and Refunds

Southern California weather is usually on our side, but occasionally conditions like heavy rain, lightning, high surf, or dangerous winds may require us to cancel a program day.

How cancellation decisions are made

Weather conditions can change quickly, so the timing of our decision depends on the situation:

  • The night before — If the forecast is clearly unfavorable, we'll cancel in advance so families can plan accordingly.
  • The morning of — If conditions are uncertain, we'll make a final call before drop-off.
  • During the program — In rare cases, weather may change after the program has started. If conditions become unsafe, we'll end the day early and contact parents for pick-up.

Our Location Directors monitor conditions closely and always err on the side of safety.

How you'll be notified

We'll send an email and call or text to all affected families as soon as a cancellation decision is made. Make sure your email address is up to date in your account so you don't miss any notifications.

Credits for weather cancellations

If a program day is cancelled due to weather, a full credit for that day will be applied to your BeachSports account for use toward any future program.
