Cancellation and Refund Policy

Your refund depends on how far in advance you cancel and which location your child is enrolled at. In every cancellation window, you have the option to keep your full payment as account credit instead of taking a refund with a cancellation fee.

Manhattan Beach & Redondo Beach

Due to the high seasonal demand and limited capacity of our summer programs, the following refund policies apply.

Before May 1st

Full refund minus a 5% processing fee. Or keep the full amount as credit on your BeachSports account for any future program.

More than 14 days before your program start date

Full refund minus a 25% cancellation fee. Or keep the full amount as account credit.

8–14 days before your program start date

Refund minus a 50% cancellation fee. Or keep the full amount as account credit.

3–7 days before your program start date

A 50% cancellation fee applies and the remaining amount will be credited to your BeachSports account. No cash refunds are available in this window.

Within 48 hours of your program start date

No refunds or credits are available. This includes programs that are already underway. Due to high demand, there is not enough time to fill a vacated spot with a waitlisted participant.

Processing fee

Any refund processed back to a credit card includes a 5% processing fee, which covers non-refundable charges from our credit card processor. This fee is already built into the cancellation percentages above. If you receive a refund that doesn't fall under one of the windows above, 5% will still be retained to cover processing costs.

Active registration fee

Active Registration manages our online registration and payment processing. They charge a $3 non-refundable registration fee per program session, paid directly to them. This $3 fee is not refunded with any cancellation or credit.

Hermosa Beach

Registration and payment for BeachSports programs in Hermosa Beach are collected and managed by the City of Hermosa Beach Parks & Recreation Department. The refund policy is set by the City:

• Refunds must be requested at least seven days before your program start date. A refund service charge will be withheld per registration, per participant.
• BeachSports is unable to manage credits for missed days or provide make-up days for Hermosa Beach programs.
